The music of Louisville rockers My Morning Jacket is American in the old weird sense of the word -- rugged, strange and beautiful. Their songs are timeless and genre-agnostic with serious attention given to writing and structure, though their live shows tend to be looser. "Victory Dance," from their recent album, Circuital, begins in a crouched stance of white noise and whispered vocals, leaps forward and catches the grooves of Tom Blankenship's rolling bass riff and rises to a majestic and psychedelic payoff. "Holdin' on to Black Metal" matches singer Jim James' weary falsetto with a hillbilly soul romp rhythm and a girls' chorus backdrop. As with much of the album, the song rocks, but there is something eerie and intimate about the singularity of its vision and scope.

I like the template for this site. Is it a publicly available template?
This interview gets pretty rad right around here: "At that moment in time my spirit is in the air, and their spirit is in the air and they aren't a person."
I'm not usually into rock but simply listening to this interview peeked my interest in this band.
Has google music not yet available outside the US.
Funny, but I think that my blog more useful!)))
This interview gets pretty
Any band that admits they think Tony Bennett is a hero deserves a listen.

Can't go wrong with MMJ, phenomenal interview + great tracks!
I like this free music in my google music concept you have here. Cheers!

Thanks for posting the interview, MMJ is a great band and completely American as you say because they have the ability to blend styles and eras in their work and live they do produce quite a "spiritual" vibe, it's quite amazing to see!
thanks for the info!! love mmj!
Please make it possible to add SINGLE SONGS, not just the entire collection. And a possibility for prelistening the songs before adding would be great too... Thank you Google... :-)
i <3 mmj
I LOVE IT!!! YIM YAMES is my hero!!!! i have seen them live at the San Diego House Of Blues... and I totally agree with what he was saying about losing yourself and finding transcendence !!!!
In this Magnifier blog, can you add a small flash/HTML5 audio player to preview the songs you offer?, it would be really convenient.

+1 interesting in it
wow, weird interview. He's kinda 'out there'. Should he not be talking about UFO's or something?
Another upvote for a "Listen Now" button, not just an "Add Now".
