Tips+Tricks: How to Get Free Music From Magnifier

When you peel away the exclusive videos and fascinating music reviews on Magnifier, you'll see that it's actually a treasure trove of free music. Not just the songs you see on the homepage, mind you... there are hundreds of free tracks available on the site.

They're neatly organized by music genre, and you can find them by clicking on the "Free Song Archive" banner in the right hand column of the homepage. If you swallow these down in one giant gulp, never fear. We'll be adding more free music to Magnifier every day to help you discover new artists and music genres.

By now you've seen all those tempting "Add free music" buttons on the Magnifier homepage and the Free Song Archive. You're probably thinking, "I want free music. But what does pressing this button do?" All of the free music on Magnifier can be accessed through Music Beta, a service from Google that lets you upload your personal music collection to the cloud and listen to it on the web and your Android devices. When you click on "Add free music," you'll be asked to login, and then the selected tracks will appear automatically in your personal music library. A "Listen Now" button will appear, and it will take you directly to Music Beta where you can see your new tracks at the top of the "Free songs" playlist.

Not a Music Beta user yet? In addition to hundreds of free songs, here are a few more reasons you should sign up today. First of all, Music Beta is free. You can add up to 20,000 of your favorite tracks to the cloud and listen to them from any web browser. You can also access your entire music collection on your Android phone or tablet using the Music app, with no wires, downloading, or hassle. Save your favorite playlists, artists, and albums to your Android device so you can still listen to them when you lose your network connection. Music Beta is currently available in the US, by invitation only, but we're going to make every effort to speed things up for Magnifier readers. Click the "Sign up now" button in the upper right hand corner of Magnifier to request your invitation today.
