Free Artist Pages On Google Play

Between blown tour bus gaskets, cases of PBR, and a mountain of hot pockets, most musicians are on a pretty tight budget. To provide them a little relief, we’ve teamed up with FanBridge to waive the $25 sign-up fee for creating a new artist page on Google Play artist hub, which is the direct route to getting your music in the Google Play store and in the pockets of tens of millions of Android users.

So, if you know a talented, independent musician (or two), let them know that they can afford to buy the gourmet chips this week, but, hurry up, this particular carriage turns into a pumpkin on April 3rd.

This is more than just a great deal: it’s a smart move. Like FanBridge, which offers fan management and marketing solutions for artists such as John Mayer, Kaskade and St. Vincent, we help artists reach more people.

Through the Google Play artist hub, any artist with rights to distribute their music in the US can create a store page, upload music, set retail prices and sell their original songs. It’s the fastest route to getting your music in front of millions of fans on the Web and Android devices.

As always, we’re listening to the musicians using the artist hub and identifying special bands and performers for career-boosting opportunities through the Magnified Artists program.

Check out our latest Magnified Artist, Sugar & the Hi Lows. The Nashville-based duo performed its cool blend of rock and soul during our Live from the Lot concert series at SXSW, as part of the Magnified Artists program. Get the single, “See It For Yourself,” for free in the Google Play store, along with other free tracks from SXSW breakout acts.
