Stacking foot-stomping beats intended to spill a full beer from your hand against cautionary tales like “Don’t Get Old” and “Full Growing Man,” the Tennessee-raised, Mason-Dixon straddling J Roddy Walston certainly means business. His marriage of bluesy bar rock and clanging piano keys makes for one hell of a good listen, but it’s perfectly poised to explode on stage where the wild nature of the gravelly-voiced Walston and his three accompanying businessmen truly comes out. With that in mind, it’s only fitting that we found the fun-loving quartet on location at Lollapalooza where they prepared to unleash their piano-driven fury on the huddled, over-heated masses.

Recently got to see J Roddy Walston and The Business at "Hot August Blues"in Baltimore. Wow! So much ENERGY in all they do!
I back this band... Great dudes. Great tunes.. I saw a lady give birth while they were playing.
It would be nice if there as a preview option for the songs on this blog so we could listen to them before adding them to our libraries without having to go look them up on youtube.
The rest of their album is pretty excellent too. It definitely hits that rock & roll button with vocals just understandable enough to make you appreciate the lyrics.
I really dig these guys.
Don't miss these guys. They always spend time with the fans and the music is pure gold. Others bands should aspire to be more like them.
