Teebs, an L.A.-based producer on Flying Lotus's label Brainfeeder, makes heavy music that seems to float. There's hip-hop in the cadence of instrumental track "Wind Loop," but both the boom and the bap in the beat take a big breath and rise up to the clouds. Distant acoustic guitar strumming flickers against electronic tones that make the whole track shine, like a scene from a celestial beach (or at least a stoner's blurry, bleary imagining of such). -- Andy Battagli
