Saxophonist Greg Osby became a jazz star at Blue Note, where he incorporated elements of hip hop and electronic music into acoustic jazz. Osby’s past material could be challenging to non-jazz fans, though, ironically, this intense solo set is the perfect place for listeners of all stripes to drop in and discover a musician of uncommon depth. “Visitation” finds Osby walking a tightrope with no rhythm section or piano to catch him if he falls, yet the results end up sounding effortless and floating. -- Nick Dedina

Come on, launch a music store already! I want to be able to buy the rest of this album and have it added to Google Music.
