Even in its original context as a song penned by a young man (Jackson Browne) at the start of his career, "These Days" packs a bittersweet punch of regret and rumination. But sung by a septuagenarian Glen Campbell on his Meet Glen Campbell album, and examined in the wake of Campbell's Alzheimer's diagnosis, its emotional impact is exponentially increased. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Campbell sings the hell out of it, either. – Jim Allen, Google Music
